 PROTEIN:

Primary Protein source is dehydrated chicken meat which is good protein source other protein contributors are dehydrated whole egg which is good protein source, dehydrated fish meat is also good quality protein.Crude protein is 23% which is within minimum protein range for adult maintenance diet recommended by FEDIAF.

FAT:

Chicken fat is good fat source. Salmon oil  comes as eighth ingredient that means it is used in very less quantisy. Salmon oil is excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids especially EPA and DHA. Fat is 10.50% which is below minimum fat requirement for maintenance diet recommended by FEDIAF.

OTHER INGREDIENTS:

We find rice as first ingredient. It is cheap filler and of less nutritional value for dogs. Oats are used to increase fiber content and as filler.

We find yeast as source of fiber, other excellent source of fiber is beet pulp and inulin.

Vitamins and Minerals are in good form and within recommendations.

Review: Formulation of Gastrointestinal food is excellent. They have concentrated on low fat and high quality fiber use in this product which is right approach for some chronic gastrointestinal problems. However they have used three different sources of protein which may not be suitable for food intolerance cases. Use strictly under Vet supervision if your dog is allergic or intolerant  to any food ingredient.
